Transport costs

When you hire boats from us, we can transport you to and from a wide range of places on the River Wye and below are some examples to give you an idea of cost. If you are using our canoe 2 u service, you will also find local taxi companies such as Kennys taxis that will pick you and your equipment up and transport you to where ever you want very reasonably if you would like to run on your own time.

Please Note

Transportation fees for launching and collecting boats will be charged if launch and landing point is not at Ye Old Ferrie Inn in Symonds Yat, if you are using our canoe 2 u service the transportation price will depend on the location distance from Symonds Yat.

Groups

For groups of 6 or over we can break the prices down per person for ease, contact us for details.

Booking (General Hire Only)

A 50% deposit will be taken to hold the booking -

1.  Cancellations made by the customer 7 days before the booking date will receive a full refund

2.  Cancellations made by the customer within 7 days will lose the 50% deposit.

3.  If a booking is cancelled by the customer within 48 hours of the booking start then the full hire costs will be charged.

4.  Cancellation by the company (Wye Canoes) due to adverse weather conditions or river levels will not be charged and a re-arrangement of the booking will be attempted or deposit refunded.

Guided Trip or Instruction Booking

A 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken to hold the booking -

1.   Full payment is due 14 days before booking date

2.  Cancellations made by the customer within 14 days will get no refund, full payment is due if not already received.

3.  Whilst every reasonable attempt will be made to deliver trips, Wye Canoes Ltd reserves the right to cancel or modify the trips due to safety considerations and factors beyond our control. 

Payment Methods

We can take credit or debit card payments over the phone to hold the booking (we just charge 75pence for any credit card transaction)

Cheques will only be accepted as a deposit for bookings well in advance, but be aware, the booking is not properly secured until cheque has cleared. 

Final Payment - Credit or Debit Card or Cash payments ONLY - cheques will NOT be accepted as final payment on the day of hire.
