A great day on the river with Sportability

Wye Canoes had a great day out on the river yesterday, taking the guys from Sportability from Ross to Kerne Bridge using the new disabled access launches. The sun was shining and and the guys were in great spirits. They were a great bunch and we all had a great time and hope to have the opportunity to show them more of the Wye Valley in the future.

River too high for unguided trips

The River Wye at Hereford Bridge and Ross is now over 2 metres above normal levels, it has risen dramatically overnight so it looks like another weekend of guiding only with Wye Canoes. A few companies may offer unguided trips but we feel strongly it is not safe to allow customers out on the river without qualified and experienced guides accompanying them in case of any incidents. A beautiful day here in the Wye Valley

A lovely sunny day here in the Wye Valley, the river slowly returning to normal, lets hope the weathermen have got it wrong when they predicted another 24 hours of rain, I think we have had our fair share for now thank you.

River levels dropping

After the river peaked last night we have been seeing a significant drop in the levels, it has dropped around 2 metres in some places so there maybe hope for the bank holiday yet.
