I would like to say a big congratulations to the guys from Stonyhurst College Combined Cadet Corp for completing their 100 mile epic paddle from Glasbury to Chepstow this week. The 5 guys and their Wye Canoes guide Lewis set off from Glasbury early Monday morning and completed their paddle Friday afternoon. They did an outstanding job in the circumstances, the river Wye is at the lowest we have seen for a few years and with the lack of flow and the warm conditions it certainly made for a challenge. The charity “Help for Heroes” will certainly appreciate the efforts and the funds raised I am sure, you can add to their tally here.
