For those wanting a little more adventure, why not try a trip to the Haute Tarentaise region of France, to it’s capital Bourg Saint Maurice.
In winter Bourg Saint Maurice is the ski hub of the region being 7 minutes funicular ride from Les Arcs and ideally situated to take advantage of a huge number of world class ski resorts such as Val d’Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs and La Plagne.
During the summer the canoeists can take advantage of the alpine melt that swells the slalom course running though town. There are also fantastic routes for mountain bikers and hikers alike to take in the breathtaking alpine scenery. We can provide accommodation which is a 10 minute walk from the funicular to Les Arcs and a 15 minute walk to the canoe club.

Canoe the World Championship Course at Bourg Saint Maurice
In Bourg there is a whitewater slalom course on the Isere river used for international canoe and kayak competitions.
The course on the Isere has been host to the ICF world championships and is used by many European teams as a training course in the summer.
In Winter

Located at an altitude of 810m Bourg-Saint-Maurice is ideally situated to take advantage of not one but several high altitude resorts including Les Arcs (1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000), Val d’Isere, Tignes and La Plagne.
Because of the easy access to some of the best high altitude resorts in the world you can expect fantastic skiing and boarding both in winter and summer.
In addition the incredible resorts of La Rosiere and St Foy are both within a 30 minute drive where some of the most unbelievable off piste riding can be found.
You will be staying just 200m (5mins walk) from the foot of the ‘Arc en Ciel’ funicular railway a 7 minute ride to Arc 1600 and the Paradiski ski area, this domain alone is made up of the incredible ski areas of Les Arcs , Peisey-Vallandry and la Plagne.
