Read more →After all the heavy rain the River Wye is still in flood still, following a brief drop in the levels on Sunday it’s back up again today at 4.24m today at Ross and still rising, that’s 3m above normal levels and bringing all sorts of debris down stream. It’s broken its banks in numerous places and too high even for guided canoe trips.
Read more →It’s a little breezy down here in the Wye Valley, with 70mph winds today we have had to batten down the hatches to ride out the storm. It was a little too late for tipi though I’m afraid and although we had hitched up the sides it couldn’t take the gusts and ended up on the floor. Read more →After a cold night and frost it’s a misty start here in Symonds Yat Gorge, with a blue sky and bright sun trying to break through the mist it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day. River Levels on the River Wye have risen slightly to 1.4m at Ross, it’s a great day to be on the river.
